Downtown Baltimore takes food seriously. We've had over 60 new restaurants open since 2017, and we've got delicious events and food festivals year round, including Baltimore Restaurant Week, August 2-11, 2019. And if you're into perusing farmers markets and taking the bounty of the Chesapeake into your own kitchen we've got plenty of options, like the Pratt Street Market and Sundays under the JFX.

The Alexander Brown Restaurant

Built in 1901 and surviving the infamous 1904 fire, the historic Alexander Brown building is now The Alexander Brown Restaurant. Sitting at the corner of Baltimore and Calvert Streets, this new fine dining restaurant offers upscale eats, creative cocktails, stunning event space, and much-needed additional lunch option in Charles Center.


Refocused Vegan

The Bromo District just got a new vegan spot, Refocused. Known widely for their award-winning vegan mac-n-cheese, the restaurant is opening at 429 N. Eutaw Street with some of their well-known vegan dishes and some very exciting new menu additions. (and yes, the photos is a vegan cheese steak.)


Cocktails & Karaoke

Hotel Revival’s B-Side Karaoke goes beyond singing. Open Wednesday-Saturdays and even offering Happy Hour, the private karaoke experience in Mount Vernon is the spot for this winter. Reservations are needed, and liquid courage is on the menu.


Cosmic Cocktail Party

Tickets are on sale for the 20th Annual Cosmic Cocktail Party March 7 at the American Visionary Art Museum. Be prepared to sample inventive food and specialty drinks from Baltimore's best restaurants. Music by DJ James Nasty. Tickets include full access to both floors, food sampling and multiple open bars.


New Restaurants at Can Company

The Can Company building in Canton has a new paint job a bunch of new tenants. Coming soon the the neighborhood is The Original Pancake House, Tropical Smoothie, Regional Ale, and You'll Never Walk Alone restaurant. Stop by this spring to see (and taste) the changes.


Connie's Chicken & Waffles

Connie's Chicken & Waffles at Charles Plaza EATS is now open on Sundays. Her magical (yes, magical) waffles are so good, they are working on her 3rd location right now. Grab a bite at the Charles Street location, Lexington Market, and soon-to-open Broadway Market.
