The Partnership is actually two entities working together as one: the Downtown Management Authority (DMA), which oversees a 106-block improvement district in the heart of Baltimore, and Downtown Partnership of Baltimore (DPOB), the non-profit that has successfully grown Baltimore’s economic and residential base. This dual structure allows for a bigger set of tools with which to solve problems and create new opportunities.

Our Economic Development team serves as a resource for businesses looking to move, grow or expand in Downtown. We also help connect businesses — both large and small — to funding and business development opportunities, track development projects in the one-mile radius of Downtown, and sponsor an evolving variety of additional projects and initiatives that positively benefit the economy in the Central Business District.

Our operations team is hard at work 7 days a week keeping Downtown Baltimore beautiful, safe, and inviting. DPOB operations fleet is comprised of Clean Street Ambassadors (CSAs), Downtown Baltimore Guides (DBGs), Park Stewards, and Homeless Outreach team members.

Beautifying Streets
CSAs work day and night emptying trash from more than 400 cans in the DMA, sweeping the streets, removing graffiti, cleaning alleys, and reporting code violations.

Our DBGs are the welcoming face of the DMA. They provide a visible, positive safety presence and serve as hospitality guides for those navigating Downtown.

Supporting the Homeless
Our outreach team has been able to help hundreds of homeless individuals find shelter, food, benefits, mental health care, medical care, and even permanent housing.
