Operation: Storefront
Ever dream of starting your own business? Here’s your chance. OPERATION: Storefront, a new Downtown Partnership program, will help inspired people activate Downtown’s vacant first-floor spaces. The goal: to fill Downtown Baltimore to the brim with exciting, creative, and promising young businesses.

The Partnership is seeking proposals from landlords with available space, or from artists, non-profits, and aspiring or established retailers and restaurateurs looking to temporarily set up shop in unused first-floor space in Downtown-area buildings.

OPERATION: Storefront will provide budding entrepreneurs with the time, guidance, and funding to turn their ideas into reality. Successful applicants will be awarded grant money of up to $10,000 for costs associated with occupying currently unused space and operating that space, even if only on a temporary basis.

Proposals are due by November 22, 2010 and may be downloaded at: www.GoDowntownBaltimore.com.

What's Happening Downtown?

Analyze This: Mahler and Freud
Join us Saturday, November 6 at 7 p.m. as we reenact the little-known meeting in 1910 between genius composer Gustav Mahler and the trailblazing psychiatrist Dr. Sigmund Freud. Professional actors Richard Pilcher (Mahler), Tony Tsendeas (Dr. Sigmund Freud) and Kristina Lewis (Alma Mahler), help spin the tale.

Join us after the concert for a Q&A with Marin Alsop! Tickets from $28! Click Here to purchase.
