New
Circulator Launching January 11!
Please join
the City of Baltimore, Al Foxx, Director of the Department of
Transportation, and Downtown Partnership President, Kirby
Fowler, as we launch the first route of the new, FREE, Charm
City Circulator at the Baltimore Convention Center (bus loop at
Sharp and Pratt Streets). On January 11 at 11 a.m., the Circulator fleet
of hybrid electric vehicles (the largest such fleet in the
country according to the manufacturer) will begin providing a
new, convenient, and frequent way for business people,
residents, students, and tourists to get around Downtown
Baltimore.
The
first route to begin operating will be the east-west Orange
Route along the Pratt / Lombard corridor. This route takes
riders in a loop past the B&O Railroad Museum, the University of
Maryland Biopark, University Hospital, and University of
Maryland professional schools, Camden Yards and the Convention
Center, Inner Harbor, and Harbor East. Both the Green Route,
which will connect Johns Hopkins Hospital with Fells Point and
Harbor East, and the Purple Route, which will connect Federal
Hill and the Cross Street Market area with Penn Station, will
launch in the spring.
Visit
www.charmcitycirculator.com for
information and details about the circulator, and routes and
stops.
